FINE FIBER
Our ColdForm™ line of fine fiber pads and rolls sets new industry standards in this product category in terms of performance and value. This exceptional product line combines the benefits of Meltblown fine fiber with the superior absorbency of our ColdForm™ non-woven core.
Outer layers are made from small diameter densely woven polypropylene fibers. These layers are then bonded to a high-loft, highly absorbent ColdForm™ core that has been specifically optimized for universal or oil-only tasks. The end result is a product line that is more durable when compares to Meltblown and far more absorbent.
In comparison to other manufacturers’ fine fiber or high-end MRO products, the ColdForm™ fine fiber product line – based on ASTM test standard 726 – on average, absorbs better than competing products by approximately 40%
Our fine fiber ColdForm™ pads and rolls are perforated for easy and exact use and are available in heavy and medium weights.

FINE FIBER
Meltblown sorbents absorb or hold liquid on the surface of the fibers. The more fibers, the better the performance. State-of-the-art equipment, the latest generation of polypropylene resin technology and the unique way we handle the product during manufacturing all contribute to maximizing the performance of our products. Pound for pound, ours are probably the hardest working sorbents in the business.
Like all of our meltblown products, our fine fiber product line is made from the purest and highest quality polypropylene.

Pads & Rolls -
BONDED NATURAL
ColdForm™ bonded natural sorbents are unlike anything else on the market today. They ffer outstanding absorbency and durability at an unheard of value. This product is manufactured with almost no dependency on oil production.
ColdForm™ technology is able to take pre-formed fibers, blend them and produce a non-woven web similar to the meltblowing process. This technology allows us to process and blend any number of different fiber types thereby optimizing the performance of each type of product. Implementing the ColdForm™ line—an extremely complex building project—facilitates the production of sorbents with higher absorption rates than those of polypropylene meltblown sorbents. This production line is capable of producing over 8,000,000 pounds of unique sorbents.
Oil-only sorbents are offered in natural white and are treated with a proprietary blend of chemistry. These additives maximize the fibers’ water repulsion, flame resistance (equal to that of meltblown) and protect against microbes, such as mold.
Universal sorbents are offered in grey and have similar additives to enhance their performance. All of our natural bonded pads and rolls are perforated for easy and exact use.

SONIC BONDED
This meltblown product category has been the mainstay of the meltblown sorbent industry for years. Sonic bonded sorbents are constructed from a single layer of high-quality uniform polypropylene fibers. The fibers are then sonically bonded together for added strength and reduced linting.
Pads and rolls are available in single, medium and heavy weights to suit a variety of spill control and industrial clean-up situations.

LAMINATED
LAMINATED (COLDFORM™)
Our new laminated ColdForm™ product line is one of the toughest sorbents on the market. The heavy-weight spun bond cover stock is extremely abrasion resistant and almost lint-free.
Based on ASTM test standard 726, it is approximately 10% more absorbent than the industry standard “air laid” products and roughly 35% more absorbent than laminated meltblown sorbents.
Our laminated ColdForm™ products are constructed by bonding outer layers of heavy and very tough polypropylene spun bond to a high-loft core. The core is a combination of synthetic and natural fine fibers and is manufactured so that it will not fall out even if the outer coverings are torn.
Laminated ColdForm™ sorbents are ideal for applications that demand extreme durability and high absorbency. Use them in situations with sharp objects or when the sorbent must perform in a demanding environment. All of our laminated ColdForm™ pads and rolls are perforated for easy and exact use.

LAMINATED
These laminated meltblown pads and rolls are non-linting. Tough and durable, these sorbents offer extreme softness and drape-ability. This is critical for use in applications where you need to wrap an absorbent pad around pipes or place them in hard-to-reach locations.
Our laminated sorbents are constructed by ultrasonically bonding outer layers of durable polypropylene spun bond to a high-loft, meltblown center. Our non-linting, laminated pads and rolls are perforated for easy and exact use.

Whether the oil spill is large or small, on land or on water, our meltblown pads are perfect for oil spill clean-up
These cost effective meltblown sorbents are constructed from a single layer of strong, uniform polypropylene fibers. Hydrocarbon-based fluids stick to the fibers while water is repelled.
Our meltblown sorbent incinerate to less than two percent as. Also, they will not mildew and will float indefinitely, making them ideal for large marine oil-spill clean-up.

RAG MATS, NEEDLE PUNCH RAIL MATS
Pound-for-pound and dollar-for-dollar, rag rug is one of the most absorbent products available. Constructed from a single layer of natural and synthetic fibers that is then carefully needle-punched and heat-set, our rag rug fabric has a fire retardant and proprietary chemistry added which significantly boosts its absorbency. In comparison to other manufacturers’ rag rug, our ColdForm™ rag rug fabric absorbs roughly 10% more than the present industry standard.
We can offer this product in many different sizes. We also offer these rugs with a slip-resistant poly-backing. Pads are perforated and rolls also may be ordered perforated.

Needle Punch Rugs
Our ColdForm™ process allows us to produce “optimized” needle punch products. As strong as the industry standard but with added absorbency, they are constructed from a single layer of synthetic fibers that are then heavily needle-punched and heat-set. Added fire retardant and chemical additives significantly boost absorbency. All our needle-punch is tough enough to withstand forklift and foot traffic. Its charcoal color hides the dirt much longer than the typical black needle punch products currently available so it can stay on the job longer.

Rail Mats
Our tough, durable railroad mat is a heavy, oil-only absorbent barrier product produced by bonding three layers of material together. The top layer is a gray UV stabilized needle punch. The second layer is constructed from white melt blown and the base layer is heavy plastic. The entire laminate is then needle punched, which guarantees an even release of rainwater through the fabric while trapping oils..

BOOMS
MARINE AND LAND
BOOMS (ColdForm™)
All of our ColdForm™ booms contain high-quality fiberfill, are non-linting and come complete with end rings, snaps and a sturdy rope running its length.
The natural and synthetic ColdForm™ fine-fiber fill used in our booms is carefully blended with a floatation agent. This fill will not come out, even if the outer cover is torn.
As a result of this proprietary combination of chemistry and natural and synthetic fibers, the absorbency of our ColdForm™ booms is 30% greater than a 100% meltblown-filled boom. (ASTM Test Method F716-82 was utilized.)
Marine booms are available in oil-only white and blue. Land booms are available in universal grey. (See our HazMat section for yellow products.)

BOOMS (Meltblown)
All of our Meltblown booms are non-linting and are sock-and-net constructed to ensure that all particulate stays safely inside the boom. Each booms comes complete with end rings, snaps and a sturdy rope running its length. They contain high-quality, all-synthetic, high-absorbency fill blended with a floatation agent. Our tests indicate that this agent makes the fibers more porous allowing them to absorb 10% more oil than regular booms. Our bilge booms are designed for us in bilge and sump situations.

Sweeps (bottom right) are used mostly in marine spill situations. A strong tie allows these sorbents to be dragged over the surface of the water to remove final traces of oil.
SWEEPS
Sweeps are ideal for removing the final oil sheen left on the surface of the water following a marine clean-up. They are constructed from a heavy layer of meltblown polypropylene that is ultrasonically welded to a layer of blue spun bond fabric.

HAZMAT Sorbents
All of our HazMat pads and rolls are made to tackle aggressive chemical spills. We offer a selection of various sizes, weights and formats of our premium line – fine fiber – and of our low-linting sonic bonded products. All of our pads are perforated for easy and exact use.
